read moreIn all of our practices, we have a Retinal Camera which can take full colour photographs of the retina at the back of the eye similar to the one shown. This can be viewed on a computer screen and saved for comparison with photographs taken in the future to help spot any changes, which is particularly important in monitoring glaucoma and diabetic patients. It is especially useful when it is necessary to refer patients for treatment. There is a small additional cost for this service, however for some patients with diabetes, this service may be provided free of charge as part of an NHS Diabetic Screening.
