read moreFrom the start, Southsea Deckchairs Founder and owner Stephen Davies wanted to make deckchairs that were strong, durable and practical. Taking all the best deckchair design elements, he put them together to create Southsea Deckchairs. A heavy-duty moulding of 22mm x 47mm is used for the framework; this provides great strength and a noticeably more solid feel than some spindly domestic deckchairs. Mortise and tenon joints are now used instead of dowel joints, giving even greater strength and rigidity.

Although shower-proof we don't recommend leaving printed cotton outside continuously. Available in traditional deckchair stripes, multi-stripes and a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours and modern patterns. Some only have stripes on one side, others have a complimentary pattern. Heavy weight 350g/m2 Woven Cotton with rich, vibrant colours. These beautiful artisan fabrics have been woven by craftsmen using pre-war looms with first quality pure cotton thread which is made from two threads rolled together to produce one final thread.
