The Flower School was established in 1949 by Rona Coleman to aid train boys and girls in the art of floristry during the post war Britain, where the Britain came from in the name. The school was taken over some 17 years ago by Barbara Shakespeare and Geoff Hughes, who then incorporated Chihiro Hidaka of Tokyo. With their enthusiasm it is as successful and vibrant in the 21st century as was in the past. Now Flower Design of Britain's main flower studio, centre of excellence and learning is with its Barbara Shakespeare in Weston-super- Mare, England.
