read moreWhen ringing around other companies, make sure that your entire instructor training is going to be done on a one-to-one basis and not with 2 or 3 other trainees in the car at the same time. We offer one-to-one tuition only and do not teach two or more trainees at the same time. This means you get full value for money as well proper, effective instructor. In addition we are ORDIT registered which is the highest qualification for instructor training from the Driving Standards Agency. To qualify to be a driving instructor, you need to have a full UK driving licence for three and a half years and it should be free of penalty.

read moreThree months before your 17th birthday you can apply for your provisional license - or as soon as you're 16, if you're disabled and receiving mobility allowance. Then once you're 17, you can legally drive a car on public roads in the UK. It's okay to start practising on private land, as long as the site is gated and far away from public highways. But remember, supermarket car parks are classed as public roads, so don't use these. Before you start learning, make sure you can read a number plate in good daylight from 20.5 metres away - that's about five car lengths.
