About Us
read moreThis page will be kept up to date with our latest online meetings as we continue to be church together. Each Sunday at 10:30am we will be having an (almost) live Sunday service over on our YouTube channel. We invite you to get together in front of your internet enabled devices with your families, housemates, or simply yourself for a time of encouragement, worship, teaching and breaking bread. Subscribe to our channel and press the bell icon to enable notifications for when we broadcast. We will also be "gathering" in our homes on Sunday evenings at 7:30pm for our prayer meetings.

read moreNot just to believe in Him generally, but to know Him personally. This is made possible because of Jesus. Christians believe Jesus is who he said he was as revealed in the Bible: the Son of God. We believe he did what he said he was going to do: live a perfect life, die an unjust death and rise again three days later before ascending to heaven. We believe he achieved what he said he would achieve: defeating the power of sin and death, making the way open for us to be forgiven and know God forever.

The aim is to encourage and support young people as they navigate their teenage years, introducing them to faith in God and enabling them to follow Jesus in their everyday life. FUEL meets on Tuesday evenings during term-time. Our programme runs over a four-week cycle that includes two social events, an evening where we discuss significant issues in teenage life and small groups - these all happen at The Jubilee Centre and in homes around the city.

read moreJames encourages us to pray. He tells us to pray for ourselves and for one another, and the sick are to call for the elders to pray for them. We are to come to God in faith, in repentance, in honesty and in humility. Some of us may have been excluded for being Christians, whilst others may have experienced more intense suffering. James calls us to be patient, but he is not insensitive to suffering, nor is he telling us to be inactive. To cope with suffering, we need to learn how to lament. Our ultimate hope is the return of Jesus.
