Paul Bowers instruments have a rich and colourful timbre throughout their selection. They are noted for their ease of response, evenness across the strings, and for their power and projection. Each instrument is individually made, and in the case of commissioned work, Paul likes to work closely with players, discussing their requirements and needs, as well as choice of wood and fittings. Violas are made in a array of body lengths to meet the personal player, whilst maintaining the optimum string length where possible.
