Mr Kewal Krishan who at the time was a bus driver in Nottingham, formed the firm in 1979 under the name Ace Taxis. The 1st car was 2 year old Datsun 140J, operated and driven by Mr Krishan himself working under license to Mansfield District Council from the taxi ranks located on Queen Street in Mansfield. Within one year with the business growing fast, it was necessary to purchase another car. Another Datsun 140J was purchased to aid out with the increasing workload being experienced by Mr Krishan.
